Ricky Munday: You Gave Me a Bad Look!
Official Channel of Ricky L. Pinzon — featuring the investigative persona Ricky Munday
Street-Level Enforcement & Subjective Suspicion
Officer: “He’s wearing exactly what you’re wearing, okay? And he has his girlfriend’s keys. And when I saw you, I went to go ask you who you were, you reached into your pocket. So what do you think I’m thinking, right? You gave me a bad look and reached into your pocket. Obviously I didn’t shoot you...”
Ricky Munday: “I’m thankful you didn’t shoot me.”
This interaction captures the fragile boundary between routine public existence and the immediate escalation of state authority. When subjective pretexts—such as “you gave me a bad look” or reaching into one’s own pocket—are offered to rationalize potential lethal force, the encounter reveals the real-time vulnerability of citizens navigating public space.
Objective reasonable suspicion under Fourth Amendment standards requires specific, articulable facts connecting an individual to criminal conduct. Vague clothing descriptions, subjective interpretations of facial expressions, and ordinary movements underscore the systemic need for rigorous civilian documentation and accountability.
Archive & Methodological Evolution
This channel continues the accountability work begun on my first YouTube channel (2009–2014) documenting Venice Beach, California: police activity on the boardwalk, cop-watching, and the disparate treatment endured by vulnerable communities. Those early recordings captured real-time public accountability and the street-level spectacle of enforcement.
In 2015, this project expanded to broaden systemic scrutiny. On April 10, 2022, the focus broadened to documenting pro se litigation, administrative claims, and court filings grounded in the California Code of Civil Procedure, the California Rules of Court, and the California Government Code.
By developing procedural fluency while rejecting fringe theories, these records document how institutional mechanisms operate from the street corner to the appellate court docket.
Scope of Investigation
Ricky Munday is a narrative device—not a legal alias—used to investigate institutional contradictions, administrative failures, and structural design defects. The work is grounded in:
- Documented street encounters and real-time cop-watch records
- Public agency and law enforcement accountability
- Ministerial-duty review and statutory standards
- Civil rights and Fourth Amendment search and seizure standards
- Institutional transparency and official record correction
